Application of Welding Mechanical Processing Parts in Vacuum Chambers for Inspection
The core purpose of testing vacuum chambers (such as thermal vacuum chambers, low-pressure test chambers, helium test chambers, and venting test chambers) is to complete reliability testing of sample airtightness, low-pressure, thermal vacuum, venting, insulation, and aerospace environment simulation in a closed negative pressure environment; The welding+machining assembly is the core load-bearing and sealing component of the vacuum chamber body, water-cooled jacket, flange, pipeline, bracket, and fixture. The airtightness of the weld seam, low gas emission, and post weld machining accuracy are the first indicators.

The shell is cut from sheet metal → welded into shape → stress relieved after welding → CNC precision machining of sealing surfaces, flange holes, window holes, pump ports, and sensor feed holes.
-Materials: 304L/316L stainless steel (medium high vacuum, helium detection), 6061 aluminum alloy (lightweight, semiconductor detection chamber); Low precipitation stainless steel and titanium alloy are selected for ultra-high vacuum UHV operating conditions.
-Process: TIG argon arc welding, laser sealing welding, electron beam welding; Full penetration continuous sealing weld, eliminating micro pores and incomplete fusion; Post weld heat treatment is used to relieve stress, followed by machining of sealing grooves and flange surfaces to ensure flatness and parallelism, and to prevent excessive deformation and leakage rates under negative pressure.
-Usage: Thermal vacuum testing of aerospace components, low-pressure discharge testing of electronic components, helium leak detection of batteries/seals, and material release testing.
Welding formed sandwich water-cooled plates, precision machining of flow channel interfaces after welding, integrated on cabin walls, cabin doors, and heat sink plates; Used for temperature control in hot vacuum chambers, suppressing chamber wall venting, stabilizing sample temperature, and avoiding temperature drift interference with detection data.
Flange blank welding components → CNC milling of sealing grooves, bolt holes, and positioning stops; Including CF flange, KF flange, ISO large flange, electrode feeding flange, and optical window flange.
Vacuum pipelines, elbows, gas collection manifolds, machined end faces and grooves after welding; Used for exhaust circuits, helium tracer circuits, and inflation circuits; The leakage rate of pipeline welds directly determines the lower limit of leak detection.
Welding structural components+machining positioning benchmarks, installation holes; Used for fixing test pieces (aerospace castings, sensors, battery packs, sealed shells); Require low exhaust, non-magnetic, stable size, and no pollution to the cabin environment.
The cabin door is a pressure bearing thin-walled welded component, with a precision machined sealing surface after welding; Frequent opening and closing of helium inspection boxes and airtightness testing chambers are widely used, and high fatigue performance is required for welds.
