Advantages of welding and mechanical processing
for large-scale inspection vacuum chambers
Applicable scenarios: Material environment testing, component vacuum performance testing, aerospace/semiconductor/mechanical testing, large vacuum chambers. Features: large chamber volume, large size span, multiple flanges and feedthrough ports, withstanding external pressure, high requirements for leakage rate and overall shape stability.
Advantages of vacuum chamber welding process
1. It can achieve ultra large volume cavity molding and flexible structural design.
Large vacuum chambers are usually several meters in size and are made of stainless steel/aluminum alloy thick plates and profiles welded together. They can be used to produce square, cylindrical, and irregular large chambers; Cabin doors, observation windows, sensor flanges, sample entrances and exits, vacuum pipeline supports, external reinforcement ribs can be arranged as needed to meet the multi interface requirements of testing equipment, with strong non-standard customization capabilities.
2. The base material is dense, making it easier to achieve extremely low leakage rates and suitable for precision testing.
The interior of the base material of the plate is dense, and the weld seam has undergone non-destructive testing, which can effectively control the micro defects of the weld seam, meet the low leakage rate indicators of high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum testing, ensure long-term pressure holding, and avoid gas leakage interference with the detection data.
3. Strengthen the integrated welding of reinforcement to resist deformation caused by vacuum external pressure.
After vacuuming, the cabin is subjected to enormous external atmospheric pressure, and large-sized chambers are prone to bulging and deformation. Strengthening ribs, rib plates, and support frames can be welded on the outer wall of the cabin to enhance the stiffness against external pressure, suppress deformation of the negative pressure chamber, and ensure the stability of the detection space size inside the cabin.

Advantages of vacuum chamber welding and machining combination
1. It can manufacture large-sized and high-capacity non-standard vacuum chambers, breaking through the equipment size limitations of large forgings and castings.
2. The base material of the plate is dense, and non-destructive testing of the weld seam results in a low overall leakage rate and stable vacuum holding for a long time.
3. The outer wall reinforcement ribs are welded together to enhance the external pressure stiffness, suppress negative pressure deformation, and ensure the dimensional stability of large detection spaces.
4. Post weld stress relief treatment eliminates welding internal stress and reduces the risk of deformation and cracking during long-term use.
5. Large gantry/floor boring precision machining flange sealing surface and installation reference, precise positioning of multiple interfaces.
6. Optional stainless steel/aluminum alloy material, low air release, suitable for vacuum testing of aerospace, materials, and components.
7. The delivery cycle for prototypes and customized projects is better than that of large castings and forgings; Local damage can be repaired by secondary machining after welding, with low maintenance costs.
