Application sharing of cast aluminum parts in the petroleum equipment industry
Cast aluminum parts, with their low density, good thermal conductivity, ability to form complex shapes, and good processing performance, can replace some cast steel and iron parts and are used in non pressure/low-pressure pressure bearing structural components, valve housings, heat dissipation components, instrument housings, transmission boxes, etc. of petroleum equipment to reduce equipment weight, lower lifting loads, improve heat dissipation performance, and control overall costs.
The typical application scenarios of cast aluminum parts in the petroleum equipment industry are as follows:
1. Ground fracturing/cementing equipment
-Fracturing truck instrument housing, control box, sensor mounting seat.
-Hydraulic valve block cover plate, hydraulic motor housing, radiator housing.
-Pipeline joint bracket, operating handle, protective cover.
-Advantages: Reduce the weight of the vehicle, improve heat dissipation, and provide surface insulation treatment in explosion-proof areas.
2. Drilling equipment (drilling rig, workover rig)
-Drilling rig control console shell, driller's room instrument bracket.
-Pneumatic actuator housing, air source distributor housing.
-Winch accessory cover, guide wheel support, counterweight auxiliary parts.
Note: Cast aluminum is generally not used for main load-bearing and high-pressure pressure bearing components, and cast steel/forged steel is preferred.
3. Underground instruments&logging while drilling
-The outer cylinder of the logging instrument, sensor base, and signal adapter housing.
-Underground short section structural components (under low pressure conditions).
-Requirements: Dense without pores, airtight, low impurities, strict non-destructive testing.
4. Offshore platform oil and gas equipment
-Platform electrical control box shell, lamp shell, instrument bracket.
-Seawater environment: Must be equipped with * * hard anodizing+anti-corrosion coating * * to enhance salt spray resistance.
Restriction: Aluminum parts should be used with caution when immersed in seawater for pressure bearing purposes, as they are prone to galvanic corrosion and require isolation and anti-corrosion design.
5. Oil and gas gathering and transportation and explosion-proof instruments
-Explosion proof junction box, transmitter housing, flow meter housing.
-Requirement: The casting must have no loose pores, meet explosion-proof appearance and strength requirements, and the surface must not have sharp burrs.
