Laser Cutting Machine Maintenance

Leave a message

Laser cutting machines are expensive, ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of yuan. Therefore, extending the lifespan of the laser cutting machine is crucial for saving production costs and maximizing profits. This highlights the importance of daily maintenance and upkeep of laser cutting machines.

1. Circulating Water Replacement and Water Tank Cleaning: Before operating the machine, ensure the laser tube is filled with circulating water. The quality and temperature of the circulating water directly affect the lifespan of the laser tube. Therefore, the circulating water must be changed regularly, and the water tank cleaned. Ideally, this should be done once a week.

2. Fan Cleaning: Over time, the fan in the machine accumulates a lot of solid dust, causing significant noise and hindering exhaust and odor removal. If the fan's suction is insufficient or exhaust is poor, it needs to be cleaned.

3. Lens Cleaning: The machine contains reflectors and focusing lenses. The laser light is reflected and focused by these lenses before being emitted from the laser head. These lenses easily accumulate dust or other contaminants, causing laser loss or lens damage.

4. Guide Rail Cleaning: As one of the core components of the equipment, the guide rail and linear shaft serve to guide and support. To ensure high machining accuracy, the guide rail and linear shaft must possess high guiding precision and good motion smoothness.

5. Screw and Coupling Tightening: After a period of operation, the screws and couplings at the motion connections may loosen, affecting the smoothness of mechanical movement. Therefore, during machine operation, observe the transmission components for any abnormal noises or phenomena, and promptly tighten and maintain any problematic parts.

6. Optical Path Inspection: The machine's optical path system is achieved through the reflection of a mirror and the focusing of a focusing lens. While the focusing lens itself does not shift within the optical path, the three mirrors are mechanically fixed, making them more susceptible to shifting. Although shifting is not usually observed, it is recommended that users check the optical path before each operation to ensure it is functioning correctly.
